Shaping the future of AI within NHS Communications

At the NHS Confederation, we are working in partnership with the AI in NHS Communications Taskforce to support communications professionals to build capability in this area.   

Join our community of interest

We are establishing a ‘community of interest’ group where peers from across the NHS communications profession that have an interest in AI can come together to share learning, best practice and find solutions to shared challenges. This has emerged as a key area of support that you are looking to us to provide. 

We are asking for expressions of interest to join the group, so please register your details below. 

We will write back to those of you who want to join the group with more details ahead of its launch this Spring. The group will meet regularly via virtual meetings and will be a vital resource for sharing learning and networking.  

Complete our survey

Hundreds of NHS communications professionals have already completed our survey – this is providing valuable insights and helping to shape the work we are undertaking to develop an AI operational framework for NHS communications.

We published an engagement paper which outlines some proposals for implementing AI tools across NHS communications channels. The survey in part seeks feedback on what we have set out in the short paper. 

Share your case studies

We continue to be on the lookout for case studies of communications teams/individuals that are using AI effectively in their communications activities. Our plan is to gather these and then share them back with our community of interest group.  

We have created a short template that we are asking colleagues to complete below. This will best enable us to capture consistent insights into the problems you have tried to address, the approach you took and what the outcome has been.
