Katherine Saunders

Katherine is chief executive of Alliance for Better Care CIC GP Federation, which covers 44 practices in East Surrey and North West Sussex. Starting as a graduate trainee, she worked in acute management before running her own consultancy focusing on emergency care transformation in Trusts across London and the South East. It took her a while to understand that the real excitement is in primary care and not in hospital so she joined the Alliance for Better Care and with her team has transformed a fledgling GP Federation into the key provider ready for the new post-commissioning world of local healthcare.
