Influence
We work closely with the government, Parliament and national stakeholders to influence positive change on behalf of our members.
We provide an independent and robust critique of policy and act as an important conduit between policymakers and NHS leaders – helping to test proposals and assess their impact on frontline services.
Monitoring the latest bills, acts and legislation affecting health and care services, we argue the case for our members to ensure the best outcomes for patients, taxpayers, the NHS and its partners.
We aim to inform parliamentarians, our members and stakeholder organisations about our work and to signpost information that is of most relevance to them.
Parliament
We meet regularly with government, MPs (including members of the Health Select Committee and other parliamentary committees) and key policy and decision-makers to feed in the views of our members and influence policy in the interests of patients, the public and NHS staff.
Stakeholders
As part of our work to influence policy and the policy debate, we work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including national bodies, professional bodies, patient organisations, manufacturers of medicines and devices, non-governmental organisations and think tanks.
