NICON Webinar: A Focus on Adult Social Care
The Social Care Collaborative Forum has been working to support the reform of adult social care in Northern Ireland. Now the Forum is in its second year, we invite you to join this webinar to take an in depth look at the Forum’s work and its impact on social care. In the session, we will set out our ambition to build a sustainable social care system for the future, which is built on a stable workforce and maximising our capacity in social care provision; explain our partnership approach; and discuss the early progress we have made and the challenges we have yet to address.
Following an informative presentation from Peter Toogood, Deputy Secretary Social Care Policy, DoH, we will hear from a few key colleagues to explore the learning from the Forum’s work and consider where else this might be applied. We will also discuss how improving this core element of the system can improve our services to support better outcomes for people.
This session is being held as part of NICON's 'Grasping the Nettle' webinar series, which will run throughout 2025. The series will aim to build on the momentum and theme of the NICON24 conference, held in October 2024, during which we explored what nettles need to be grasped to drive progress within the health and social care system in NI.
